Hey fellers anybody got any opinions on a solo saddle for my 2005 Electra Glide? I would like one that would would stay as high and maybe even moves me back on the bike a little.
Police air ride! Ugliest seat out there, but nice and cushy, yet firm. The seat is firm, but the air shock is adjustable to your liking. It's designed from the get go to be comfortable for hours in the saddle. They're on Ebay a lot, often in like-new condition from take-offs.
I just put the seat back on my bike after riding a stock OEM touring seat for a year. My butt likes it, but it does sit you up higher (much) and back a bit. I'm 5"10', 32" inseam and can almost get both feet flat on the ground, but not always. I slide forward a bit before coming to a stop and straddle the nose of the seat and it helps with this.
This seat can also be a problem with view through or over the windshield. The top edge is now right in my normal line of view. Sooo, I need a taller, or shorter windshield. Not sure which. I'm just riding for a while to see how it goes.
C O R B I N ....You'll never get a better seat. And if you call them and tell them wher you want to be sitting they'll dial the seat in for you. Plus it's leather and leather breathes no "monkey butt" on long rides...give them a call you won't regret it
I've had exceptional experience with C&C seats. I have the Fastback and now run with the solo seat. They will work with you to provide the specifications you are looking for. Great company to work with.
As stated every butt is different. I recently went on a 2800 mile trip using the solo seat and had zero discomfort during the entire trip.
I had this Corbin Classic solo for 5 years and loved it. I have a C&C classic solo comming this week for my 2010 Electra Glide Classic. A lot of forum member swear but C&C so we will see. They less money and will make what you want in a week or 2. Corbin will take 4 times as long.
