My buddy has a stock roadking 2007 and he changed his slip on mufflers to some vance & hines slip ons.My question is does he have to change his fuel pack?Dealer who sold the exhaust said he should because it will be lean and he recommended a Vance & Hines fuel pack anyone know the honest answer?thanks guys

 

Just slip-ons and no air cleaner change requires nothing else. He'll be fine. He can throw in a set of IED's at the 02 sensors if he wants to.

 

Yep. No change of air cleaner, no need for fuel management change.

 

I have an 07 Road King and had V&H Ovals on it for about 6500 miles without changing anything. The bike ran fine.

 

In reality all he has done so far is to make his bike sound louder, while forcing the bike to run slightly leaner and hotter.
I would suggest if he can afford it, to add the airbox and the fuel pack to complete the stage one, get her set up right, and enjoy the increased performance and a cooler running, happier and healthier engine.
