This is the main reason I carry full replacement cost coverage insurance. I've been riding almost 42 years without a crash. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen the next time I ride but I've never subscribed to the theory that crashing is inevitable. I just simply could not afford pay a deductible and the loss of the cost of all of the accessories. The odds are stacked against me in my area because of the high number of un-insured motorists.
Care to share the name of the insurance company? I have asked State Farm about it and they don't offer it. I have heard about some companies offering full replacement on a new bike during the first year only.
Do they, say replace a 2, 3 or 4 year old bike with a new model?
No riders for State Farm but the do take into consideration your extras. I made a list with reciepts and instruction sheets if I couldn't find the reciepts.
