05 Peace officer edition dark blue. Has some light scratching on the fairing etc, needs a good buff and wax, what are the better products to use for this? Thanks!
I have a black FL that shows everything, and have had the best luck with, don't flame me here fellas, Honda Spray & Shine. It is a thick spray on product that cleans and fills in the micro scratches that dark paint loves to show. I tried lemon pledge, but it just does not work like it used to on my old red Softy.
I hear the Honda stuff is great, know a few folks that use it. I use Black Magic and it gives my black bike a nice wet look. I have also used Glare products with great results. After a quick wash I go with the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer, puts on a showroom shine with almost no effort. Received many compliments on the shine after using the quick detailer.
I'm a big fan of the turtle wax "Ice" products. The paste version isn't a "wax". It's a polymer polish with UV inhibitors (I live in the Mojave desert, and the UV here is unbelieveable). I use the Ice total interior care on all my black plastic/vinyl items. The Liquid polish I use at most washes, and finish up with the Ice detailer. The paste polish I apply about every 3 months. Never tried the Ice clay bar. The other nice thing about the Ice products, are that they don't leave behind any white residue. Finally, I swear by the Mr. Clean Auto Wash system for easy spot free drying...unfortunately they have discontinued it for some stupid a$$ reason. I probably will switch to the Ice soap pretty soon, and hope I get as good of results as Mr. Clean gave.

Use glare pro polish then put ice on top of that, its expensive but your paint will look flawless better than new. All you will have to do then, is rinse the dust off every other week cause nothing will stick to the paint.
Here is one I'm sure no one has heard of. I used to use this on my boats, then I used on my cars & trucks. And have been using it ever since. It will give you one of the longest lasting wax protection that I have come across. It's hard to find and usually I have to order it.
Hey all...I use Zymol polish..it fills in scratches and protects really well...
A time saver that I've used for a few years now is after washing the bike, instead of sitting there drying it with a towel, I take the leaf blower to it...I can have the whole bike spotless and dry in less than 5 minutes...
Then it's a matter of just pulling the bike back inside the garage under the ceiling fan for the wax job and chrome polishing...doesnt hurt that is where the beer fridge, tunes, and "cigar lounge" are located
