i don't mess with the peroxide...i just use a towel soaked in warm water... i drape it over the fairing..let it set a while..then wipe slowly..
I also use Pledge ferniture wipes AFTER i clean the bike...seems to help keep things from sticking...wipes are nice to cuz there is no overspray.
My question to those who suggested this is, I assume we should keep this mixture a mile from paint?
I spray everything with it,.. windshield, powdercoat, paint, chrome,.. everything and no problems. I mix mine a little stronger, about 75% peroxide 25% water.
just used it a couple hours ago and the dried up bugs softened up and wiped off quickly. Hope it doesn`t hurt the windshield or paint. I`ll be using it regularly. It would be best to get at the bugs right after the ride but with things being hot it`s not practical so I usually do it the next day requiring something to dissolve the nasty critters, Peroxide 50/50 with water works great for me.
Try wet dryer sheets. They will not harm paint and will take off all the buggs. Wet and rub gently. Don't worry about the white liquid running out the sheet. The sheet will work until it falls apart.
