I`ve had problems with my neck causing symptoms like yours. Xrays show bad things with my neck. Had an FLT a long time ago and it was torture until one day I traded seats with a guy and it made all the difference and became a pleasure to ride. Other than that I`ve found traction to be a real cure when my neck acts up on me. I have a harness that works on a door with a 25 # weight. 15 minutes of traction does wonders for me when needed. The throttle rocker is a good thing to use also.

I noticed that neuropathy was mentioned, a numbness in the extremeties caused by poor circulation. I'm surprised no one has mentioned diabetes. Untreated or uncontrolled diabetics often develop numbness in the fingers or feet which could be aggrevated by the handle bar vibration. If you have not done so, might be worth having your glucose level checked, especially if you ever have similar numbness under other circumstances
