The S/O & I both have a 16 oz. S/S Thermos. Keeps coffee hot for 3-4 hours. Don't have to worry about leaks or spills. Only takes a couple of minutes to fill 'em up at a fast food or Quik-stop.
I used a hard sided beer coozie with the foam insert, velcro'd it to the inside of my saddlebag with an old towel underneath in case of spillage. If the drink bottle or cup is too big, just remove the foam insert to hold it in place. won't keep it as hot/cold but it stays upright. Then you always have a coozie to use when you get to the party. It holds a large Dunkin Donut coffee without the foam insert perfectly, use it every morning.
a friend put a recessed holder in the top of the bag... it sits around 2--3" deep,, looks real good... sealed under the rim so it dont leak ,.. it does hold rain water , so you hafta open lid to dump any water thats collected...
I have a ram mount cup holder on the bars and the Captain Itch new cup holders on the lowers. I really like the Captains as they can hold bigger drinks and don't swivel.
