Nine on a bike is nothing. The personal best, for me to have seen, is 11 on a moped. The one sittin on the front fender had no idea where they were going so I assume she was there to let, (whomever was driving), know if/when someone fell off.
It was one of the few times I rode a bus while in Turkey and the sight must have been unusual, even for them. The bus load was glued to the windows as we passed this little....family affair.
We forget how good we have it in this great country of ours. We get upset when we need to bring our very expensive bikes to the dealer to change something. We are very lucky
