Nine on a bike is nothing. The personal best, for me to have seen, is 11 on a moped. The one sittin on the front fender had no idea where they were going so I assume she was there to let, (whomever was driving), know if/when someone fell off.
It was one of the few times I rode a bus while in Turkey and the sight must have been unusual, even for them. The bus load was glued to the windows as we passed this little....family affair.

We shouldn't feel lucky, we should feel grateful. Grateful for all of the men and women who have fought for this country to make it what it is today. Without us, our predecessors, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice, this great nation would look completely different.
