Great info and thanks for the pics, i'm kinda leaning towards the all chrome. Can't go wrong with the black and chrome on a Harley!

Had mine changed over to chrome front end, handlebars and controls. I really like the look and the wife does too! A win-win in my book.

When I got my bike I went with chrome. Then I went with black. Then everyone else did too. So now Im going back to chrome. (black lowers wil be for sale). My bike is black so I went with the black fairing skirt. If my bike was any other color I would have it painted to match. It's in the details.

Any place to download or view replacement instructions. Interested in tackling this myself but no previous experience.

Buy or borrow a shop manual for your bike. It has all torque specs and breakdowns of what ya need to do.

Bumping this to the top.
I have been following this thread because I want to do the same as the OP. I noticed that no one suggested the progressive monotube, better springs, or heavier fork oil. Is it a good idea to "upgrade" these parts as well since the forks are a part? Believe me, I am forum searching also but thought I would try to keep this thread going since the OP started it
