My last battery was from batteries plus - cheaper than a dealer, but more than the price quoted above from bohannon. I checked the link and the deka etx30l is $109, not $85.
Whatever you do, DON'T buy a battery from Batteries Plus! I recently sold a '06 Fat Boy and had replaced the battery 14 months prior. The day I went to sell the FB, the battery dropped a cell and failed. I read the warranty and it said it was 12 months... Called Batteries Plus and they said I'd have to pay full price for a replacement. My son made the first decision to save me a buck and bought it for me. Since I was selling the bike and since Batteries Plus was the cheapest alternative for me to get it running again, off I went to their store. With a crowd present waiting to be helped, they asked me what I needed and I somewhat loudly said I needed a replacement battery, but that I didn't want one that only lasted 2 months past the warranty!! I got $15 bucks off their regular price and I WILL NEVER BUY A BATTERY THERE AGAIN!!!
I bought the ETX30L from the local Batteries Plus store a little over a year ago. It saved about 40 bucks from what the dealer wanted, if I recall correctly. Walked in, so no shipping charges. I think it was under 90 bucks, out the door.
I just had to replace the battery in my hotrod. Put in a new Odyssey for just under 200 bucks. Ouch.
