I use what is called a competition face shield on my 3/4 helmet. It stops the breeze and the bugs and rocks. It may look a little strange, but if my glasses get hit, I am in big trouble. I have terrible vision without them and can't take a chance on having my glasses damaged.

I use a pair of sunglasses that I bought from Walmart, called over casts, look a lot like coccoons, but way less $$$, I also have a set of amber glasses that I use when it gets dark.

Hopefully your bargain Walmart sunglasses have an ANSI Z87-2 impact rating. Just thinking of catching a small stone through a pair of non-impact rated glasses at highway speeds gives me discomfort.
Wiley-X for me too. Best glasse I've owned. Prescription in a curved lens. No frame blocking periferal vision. Removable foam gasket. Can't go wrong. Solved the problem of riding with prescription for me. Ask for Tiare in the prescription Dept.Sunglasses, Goggles, Glasses, and Gloves - Tactical Impact Protection from Wil
replace your lenses with polycarbonate in your RX glasses
why take a chance
already have polycarbonate lenses. Not worried about them breaking, but am worried about the frames being bent and being unwearable, or being knocked out of the frames (which happened before I wore the face shield) or even the entire set of glasses being knocked off.
Back to the original question, the face shield also helps stop my eyes from drying out.

Which model of Panoptics are you using. Living where I do it is very difficult to actually see the real thing and a picture has its limitations
Thanks
