I have an 07 Street Glide with the 103" kit. Hot as a fireball!!!!!! Hoping free flowing pipes and better fuel management will take care of it. Still undecided on pipes and fuel controller.

If your talking about glowing red hot exhaust yes. My dealer says its normal. All the 07's do it.

06's were hot as hell also thanks to the EPA. PCIII took care of mine. Bike runs much stronger and cooler. Glowing pipes can not be good for a bike or rider. Get a SERT or PCIII and take care of the problem. Really makes for a safer and enjoyable ride for rider and passenger. My wife will ride with me now.

The problem is the bikes are running leanerthan crap for the good ole epa [:'(], just like has been stated, you'll need to get a fuel controller and richen that baby up to cool it down a bit.

I agree with the above advice, I just had a SERT and dyno along with duals added to mine and it made a world of difference in heat and power.

Would have been the same question regardless of what year, its summer, its a big air cooled V-twin, and let me guess, you are getting hot while stoped or in traffic. Its normal, red pipes at the head, yep normal too, you can do a few things to help, free up the air and exhaust and richen the fuel mixture but harleys get hot, but so do, road stars and other air cooled bikes. Its just nature of the beast.

Ditto on the heat. Planning to have the dealer richen it up a bit at the 1000m service.

Are you running an 07? What duals are you running? If an 07, what was the overall effect of the change?

Thanks!
