Default E3 Tread Pattern

I put a new E3 on the rear of my bike last year making sure the rotation arrow was correct (it is) and never gave it another thought until last night. I was putting a new front on and noticed the tread pattern on the rear is the opposite of the front. Instead of the tread starting high and going to the outside like in the pic it starts low and flows up and to the outside. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Rick

Never mind, after doing the search which I should have done before I posted it seems this is normal.

Yep normal, but it freaked me out too... actually noticed it walking up to my bike and at first glance saw the Dunlop logo on the tire and thought it was the direction arrow.. thought it was mounted wrong... then saw the actual direction arrow... sure makes ya scratch your head... Seems to work fine though..
