I currently run amsoil year round and I like the fact the the Red line offers a 20w-60 for hott summers and 15w-50 for winter. I am starting to get the upper chatter not bad its just there. Has anyone switched from Amsoil to Red line with better results as far as sound and longevity.
As much as I hesitate to even get CLOSE to another oil thread, I have to say that I switched back on my '07 SG and while they are both great products, I liked the Red Line better. "Of course" I "thought" it was quieter and smoother...but I could easily have just been convinced in my mind of that since, after all, I did switch.
FWIW. I run Red Line all hole now on my '09 RK.
Good luck and as I am sure you know, you'll have weeks of reading in older/other threads you'll find searching in here.
Like so many other Hot Topics,we all have our own opinions, some based on facts others on rumors.Either way, for each of us these reasons will bring out the best and worst in people.I use what I use for good reason and learned all I know about the products I use because of reading and talking to the pro's.Not important what the brands are, only to me.
Thanks to those of you with pertinent post. I may give it a shot, like i stated in the OP i would like to have the option to run different weight oil and the Red Line offers more versatility when it comes to that I can tell by how the bike performs that the 20w-50 is not an all season lube.
