Got my American Custom pipes with black end caps yesterday for my 2012 Street Glide and let me tell you for $200 you can't beat them. They sound awesome!!!!! A friend of mine has a set of screamin Eagles on his 2012 Road Glide with a 110 and it doesn't sound anywhere as good. I did remove the cat in header also, so I can't compare them with the cat in. but if you aren't sure what kind of pipes you want, don't hesitate. These pipes are great!!!!!
Is your bike pretty much stock? I am curious if the ECM is adjusting to the new slip-ons ok?
I have been looking at this exhaust for about a year but just hate to change anything as my bike runs great as stock. I ususually make a couple long rides a year for vacation so I have a concern for mileage and over all performance. I have read that the ECM will adjust to changes so I hope to learn from others experiences!
My bike is 100% stock besides not having cats. I have about 300 miles on them and I don't think i need a tuner. It doesn't pop or backfire and the best part is they look 100% stock, but sound great. The bike runs perfect with them. You can't beat this mod especially for the price.
I put the Bombers on my 2012 RGU. No baffles and these are the "bomb". They sound great. Not to loud and not to quiet. Had VH true duels on my 05 FLT and they were way to loud. If you just add the Bomber slip on there is no need for a fuel system as the newer bikes with the CATS are closed loop systems and changing mufflers, or even baffles has no effect on the ECM. www.americancustoms.com
