There have been so many positive threads on this already, its almost pointless to post...but what the heck.
Just got my Bagger Brace installed on my 08 RK Classic. I've never had a hair raising experience as a result of the famed "bagger wobbles"...but have never felt "solid" or anything confidence expiring when running through the twisties (few that there are in central Illinois).
I was highly doubtful that I would notice much of a difference, if at all, especially in the vein of "it's a whole different bike", as so many have professed. I mainly got it to hopefully avoid something dangerous.
After several rides, however, I must confess that, yes, it feels like a whole new bike!!! Turns and corners I've taken a hundred times felt completely different - solid, planted and without any drifting as I became used to, to the point that I never considered it a problem...just "the nature of the beast". Well, this beast is now tamed and I'm loving it.
Regarding the Bagger Brace specifically, it shipped quickly, arrived packaged extremely well, came with excellent installation instructions, and installed VERY easily. Very happy with the purchase.
If you've been on the fence regarding a stability device, its time to come on down and commit! I'm sure glad I did.
Maybe I am in denial...but I have honestly never felt any wobble, drift or unstableness in any way on my 08 Ultra. I just did a fly & ride on a 2010 and covered 1600 miles of 2-lanes in Montana and Wyoming and I did not feel any noticable difference in handling on the 2010 compared to my 2008 nor did the wife feel any appreciable difference in ride quality.
The one thing I noticed when I test road an 09 RKC was the ride was firmer/harsher and the seat was definitely higher off the ground, regardless of what the specs may say. I suspect it would corner tighter, but my test route didn't give allot of chance to test. My 08 with a Progressive swingarm brace handles just fine thank you...I drag the floorboards as the limiting factor, not the frame....in my book, no need to waste money upgrading, spend a couple hundred bucks and enjoy the smoother ride.
