Default 2005 road glide odometer is wrong

my odometer is racking up more miles than what is actual. it reads 103 miles between mile marlers that were 100 miles. i assume the speedo is off as well. can this be adjusted or fixed? tell me how or what to replace, thank you

put some more air in the tires

this will increase the diameter and thus will mean fewer revolutions resulting in fewer miles being put on the bike

an added benefit is an increase in speed

I bet your gauges fog up also (just a guess).
Is your gas gauge accurate. (could be a first....never know).

Same trip.....my RG odometer reads 100 miles, SG odometer reads 95 miles.
Both bikes use exactly the same amount of gas, so
the way I see it the RG is getting better gas mileage

The factory speedos are only calibrated to be within 95% of true speed/distance. So yours is 3% off, it is OK by their standards.

with the mileage disclaimer you see on the windows of new cars, your mileage may vary..........it looks like yours does. mine likely does also. no big deal to me.
