No it's 10.5:1 There are optional 12:1 pistons and a few other upgrades Cams/Heads/TB/Intake that I'm sure don't add much more than another 10/15hp
The only component that makes this motor a little on the non-street able is the cam it's a monster .660 lift and lots of duration.

Do the cases come with the timkin bearing upgrade? Are the cranks welded? It would suck to still have to worry about the lower end not holding up.

I've got a feeling that there might be a rush on these beasts in the near future.

This sounds like a very interesting option they have just released. In the beginning of this thread I thought the OP was talking about the same old JIMS 120 motor that has been around for years. My bad for skimming.

I'll be doing some research. Thanks to everyone that posted links to what this thread is really discussing.

I read the parts list. Lefty bearing and premium flywheel. With HD you have to read between the lines. I do not see any mention of the timkin tapered roller conversion.

Most likely not Timken after all, as reading the SE parts catalog. These are the cases they use on the 120R:

Screamin’ Eagle® Pro Crankcase Set
These Screamin’ Eagle® Twin Cam crankcases are precisely
machined with the larger cylinder bores required to accept
4.060" cylinders. The Crankcase is pre-assembled with
Screamin’ Eagle Piston Oil Jets designed to accommodate
a 4-3/8" or 4-5/8" Stroker Crank Assembly, and features
factory-installed high-capacity Lefty main bearing, right side
bearing, and Screamin’ Eagle high-performance cam bearings.

For race application only.
24601-10A $599.95
Fits ’06-later Dyna® and ’07-later T ouring models.
24400001 $629.95
Fits ’07-later Softail® models.

And this is the "lefty bearing" description from the SE catalog:

Screamin’ Eagle Lefty Bearing
When high-performance engine modifications are made,
the increased torque is transferred via the crankshaft to the
drive system, putting a significantly higher load on the bearing.
The Lefty Bearing is designed to provide increased load
capacity and enhanced durability in high-torque applications.
The bearing is installed in the left side of the crank case, and
supports the output shaft to the primary drive system.

24004-03A $39.95
Fits ’03-later Twin Cam-equipped models

What is confusing though is the fact that all 2010 + HD twin cam engines had the upgraded "lefty" bearing installed on both the right and the left side crankshaft bores of the cases.

Thus, specifying the "lefty" bearing on this 120R engine could refer to the Timken upgrade.

It's going to take someone building a "kit version" 120R to let us know by an actual visual check.

Man, this HD motor looks like a home run.
10.5 CR out of the box for pump gas, top of the line parts with a strong bottom end, top level heads, awsome HP, and a price point that is just incredible.
I have been an S&S guy for years, but geez, this thing just rocks...

Maybe....I agree it's an outstanding powerplant but is it worth giving up your entire warranty by installing it. Probably a great idea for a bike out of warranty but I'm not sure it fully makes sense for a bike still under warranty.

There's no way HD will warranty any of the drivetrain after installing this engine and that should at least be a consideration for those bikes still under warranty.
