Tank slap issues
This is driving me nuts. 2007 RG. New front tire with 2k on it and the air pressure is correct. Replaced both rotors in the last 2k miles. Have flushed the brake fluid and replaced (only cause everything was torn apart already). Steering head neck bearing is greased and torqued to the right specs. I have laced wheels but have checked each spoke and do not have anything that I can find loose.
I have a set of Lyndall pads ordered and should be here next week. (Great guys to deal with).
I can go up thru the gears and the bike is smooth as glass. As long as I keep ONE finger on the bars the bike is on a rail. As soon as I let loose with both hands the front end wants to tank slap violently. Any ideas?
I'd go through the rear suspension, swing arm, drive, and tire to see if something is out of spec/worn/loose back there.
