That's what I'm waiting for, the Road Glide Ultra to become available in black denim. My other choice is vivid black, so I'm watching the responses to this thread carefully...but I really hope they had black denim as a mid-year color option!

First Harley I owned got painted Pearled White metallic and I thought it looked great, second was painted a candy Red but I bought those bikes as basket cases, the current ride came as a Vivid Black and I don't think there is a better color for me. Bad Boy Vivid Black.

Absoulutly not !!! I was ready to trade my Vivid Black SG in 2 months after I bought it but refused to take the beating HD wanted for the trade. I never in my life had such a tough time keeping the swirl marks and scratches out of the clear coat. Still a constant headache. I am **** about keeping my bikes clean and yes, I am very disciplined about using micro fiber towels etc. and never dry wiping the bike. I had a show car for years so I do know what it takes to keep a paint job nice. I also have a black custom bike and it has very few if any marks in the paint....sooooooo I blame the Vivid Black problems on HD paint.

Never buy another Vivid Black from HD

I'm concerned about how much effort it takes to keep it looking good and the swirl marks and fine scratches they tend to pick up over time. My current 105 copper top with 47,000 on her shows both in the Vivid Black on the bag tops while the copper still looks new. Therefore the question. Who has a Merlot Sunglo and how do you like it? I'm not trying to insult black.
Ugliest part of my paint now is the Black.. Never would I own an all black bike again.. Go with the Merlot..

a CLEAN bike..... Black is the ONLY color to have....... Any color, gets dirty, dusty, swirls, THE SAME.... you can just see it better on Black. So, whats the point..... You can keep a black bike CLEANER, because you can see the dirt, dust, swirls better..... Dont be fooled, all the colored bike are just as dirty, dusty, and swirly as my black bike. So a black bike is basically cleaner than most colored bike, just because we can see the dirt and clean it and you can't........ Man,,,, this is a slow night for HDForum...... whew.... hdman
My thoughts exactly!!!

I disagree !! If you can see the dirt 15 mins after you clean the bike, which happens all the time , how in the heck can you say that the bike is easier to keep cleaner because it is black ??
