first of all that's not the topic that this posting was supposed to address. However, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt in responding to your ignorant comments. Keep in mind i'm going to maintain my composure and not stoop to your level of name calling.
While i don't need to defend myself because i've been riding for 30 years and have logged thousands of miles, my buddy who is a 70 year old vietnam vet wanted to drive through colorado, arizona, nevada and utah but didn't want to waste his time and energy riding through the state of iowa and nebraska. At 70 years old, this guy who is about 5'6", rides a 2009 street glide with a bad hip and a bum leg.
I don't know how old you are, but would like see how active you are at the age of 70... If you make it that far. (this also applies to me and everyone else who rides)
as far as i go, i can ride all day and night, doesn't phase me.
This is more of a response that is deserved for someone who thinks they're a tough guy because they can ride their bike as long as they want.
Touchee...Nice tactful response. I have 50k miles on my 07 and i trailer it if i feel it is more convenient....I've done the 1000 miles in 24 hours and i don't need to prove myself anymore to anyone. My buddy the Goldwinger with a 04 and 190000 miles on it doesn't even rag me any more since he had to call me to go pick him up.....He broke down in Gatlinburg last week and wouldn't call me...he rented a bike and left his there to be fixed instead of calling me.....Any way...Sorry to take a tangent away from the topic King....I like the others think it's a good RIG but the weld seems like it could be a weak point...More weld surface could be easily achieved... with either a Nut or some scrap stock cross welded....Great idea and enjoy your trip.

Great set up,it will sure keep them off each other.Oh and by the way,if I am going anywhere that requires overnite accomodations,my bike goes in the back of my toy hauler.
Riding 8 hours through this kinda crap to get through West Texas doesn't look like much fun to me.
Oh I've done it too.
I am leaving Friday for my trip up north and this is the only leg of my ride that I never look forward too. If it were not for the curvature of the earth, I am sure you could see across the country
Anyway, talk about a thread going south in a hurry. But, like was stated tweak the design and you are good to go.
