Default Bored...Installed some new stuff

Went on a little rampage at Benjy's this week and got some new stuff. Figured I'd share what I thought of the new parts.

1) Slotted Levers - I ordered these and the Road King scripted inserts. The levers came, but I'm still waiting for the inserts. The levers are ridiculously nice looking on the bike. I didn't have pliers with needle tips so removing the circlip holding the lever pin was a royal PITA, but I got it done with a couple of paperclips and a jewlers screwdriver. A little sticker shock for such a minor part, but they look awesome. Really dress the handlebars up.

2) Voltage Regulator Cover - Nice little dressup piece. Installed in about 10 minutes. Should be stock IMHO.

3) Saddlebag Lid Organizers - These are a no brainer to keep cellphone, glasses etc. from bouncing around with heavier stuff in the saddlebags. I was a little disappointed on a few issues though. Out of the box, they don't fit the lid very well. Due to the bag latching mechanism they are pushed too close to the hinges and anything you put in the netting will get caught between the lid and the bag when you close the lid. I fixed this by notching out a U shape along the upper edge, and sealing the trim with superglue. This let me slide the organizers away from the hinges allowing the lid to close without crushing contents in the organizers. Another thing I was a little disappointed in was that they're affixed to the lids with several strips of 3M tape. The instructions say to put them on between oh...60 and 100 degress or some such. I was in that range, but had to put a LOT of pressure on the strips to get them to stick (yes I cleaned the surface with alcohol wipes) I wound up laying the bags down on the carpet and standing on the organizers. That seems to have done the trick.

4) Leather Console Insert - Ordered this last week, still don't have it. [:@]

5) Black Saddlebag Crash Bars - Ordered these LAST WEEK, still don't have them. [:@]

6) Saddle Guard Bag and Water bottle holder - Got these, still waiting for saddlebag guards. These bags are a LOT bigger than I expected them to be. The pockets are huge. They look cool though. Got one for me and one for the wife.

I guess I'm starting to get close to the end for the small stuff. I still have some chrome pieces like the flush mount gas cap/gas gauge set, and a few US Navy pieces and chrome lowers. After that it's cams over winter and that wraps up my wishlist.

I've really looked hard at some different wheels, but the main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on those is because the front rotors mask so much of the wheel...dunno if it's worth it. Maybe converting to a single disc

I've really looked hard at some different wheels, but the main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on those is because the front rotors mask so much of the wheel...dunno if it's worth it. Maybe converting to a single disc up front like I've seen on several other RK's, but I really don't like the idea of making the brakes LESS effective. Any thoughts?
I went with the custom wheels, rotors and PM brakes and I think it looks great .. just my humble opinion . The PM brakes are awesome and would highly recommend them.

Here's a pic of the front setup!
