My girlfriend just bought a new 2011 Street Glide with the 103 engine. Love the bike, but the thing is pure hell to get into neutral when the bike is running sitting still. Kill the engine and it goes right into neutral, no problem. Took the bike back to the dealer today and most of the service guys had trouble also. Telling me "all the new ones are hard to get into neutral". Clutch adjusted and a little better, but still the same problem. Appointment Wed for them to "look into it more". Any ideas or anyone else with the same issue? My girlfriend is really disappointed at this point.
My 2011 Roag Glide Ultra is difficult to get into neutral while it's running. I have 6k on it and it's still tough. Adjusting the clutch helped a bit. Switching to Redline helped a bit. Mostly I just avoid shifting to neutral.
I kill it in gear and find neutral before I start it. If I need neutral for some reason, I shut off the bike and it is much easier to find. Rocking the bike helps a bit too.
Lastly, mine seems to be worse when it's hot. I'm thinking that the clearances close when the metal it hot.
