Default Limited Headpipe Change

I have a 2010 limited and want to get rid of the CATs. Can I use a header from a 2009 and what are the issues and solutions with the sensors? I heard they don't bolt on the same at the heads and don't want to waist any money on something that doesn't work. I don't want to go louder just cooler. I will use a TFI unit from Dobeck and SE AF. Checked with HD store and the parts guy knew less than I do which ain't much.

The 09 header will fit. The location and size of the o2 sensors is different. The easiest solution is to just eliminate the o2 sensors and use a tuner that will work without the sensors.

Running without sensors will work, but bolting on some form of fuel pack simply dumps more fuel in the engine. By retaining the sensors it allows for better fine tuning (assuming you have a good aftermarket fuel pack) which can eliminate any popping on the overrun.

I think it's FuelMoto that supply stainless cat-free headers that have sensor bungs fitted.

There will always be a fear that retrospective legislation will be brought to bear as the global warming issue gains momentum, in which case I'd be keeping all my standard parts 'just in case'

09 headpipe will work, easiest 02 sensor solution is pcv from fuelmoto doesnt use the 02 sensors, however your sensors are smaller than the 09 and can be adapted to fit the 09 bungs, and youl have to lengthen the wireing for the new location, but dont know how accurate this would be. a dyno run would be my next sep going this route.

I would have to agree with most here, get the PCV from fuel moto and not worry about the O2 sensors, it will come with plugs for headpipes. If not, you would still have to buy O2 adapters to make the sensors fit the older sensor size.
