...just to add a little more. I have the Cruiserworks waterproof boots and they work great! I've stood in puddles after hours in the rain and my feet came out dry.

I've got the HD stuff and it does work great. I bought XXL too but was disappointed that it does not fit over my leathers. XXL is pretty damn big too but the jacket is just too tight to fit over my jacket.

I have then top-of-the-line H-D rain gear that I bought in '98. It has been used every year since in everything from a Wyoming snow storm to a Kansas summer downpour with hail, and a trip to Wisconsin in 2004 where it rained everyday for ten days. As of today, it is still in excellent condition and still waterproof.

Buy H-D's best, and ride dry for a long time.

I just got back from a 3100+ mile trip ( Orlando to upstate NY and back) and I got stopped 5 times in 6 days by rain at night. I brought my Frogg Toggs with me and they worked OK but not great, I'm right now looking into the goretex suits. I don't know which one I'll buy yet,.. but the frogg toggs are a good suit if you plan on stopping when the rain starts, I didn't have that option ( I was racing Ernesto to central florida.... I won ,but only by a couple of hours and lots of riding in the rain)
Just remenber you do not always have the ability to stop when the rain starts...there is a big section on the Blue Rudge Parkway that you can not stop on, yes ,I did get caught in the rain there but I was already suited up.

By the way does anyone know how to get melted frogg togg off an exhaust system?
Ride long and have fun!!! I can hardly wait for my next trip!!!!!!!!

It is the Pro Action... It was the style they had at Gander Mountain.

Edmo,

What version of Frogg Toggs did you get? They seem have several.

Join the Army and you'll get free Gor-Tex...of course everyone will be wondering how that tree can ride a motorcycle, but you'll be a dry tree...oh yeah, and occasionally you may fly off to a foreign country and get shot at and blown up...okay, so maybe it isn't free!

But, with that said, Gor-Tex is the best thing invented for adverse weather protection. I'd go with the HD high quality stuff. Everyone I know who has has been happy with it, and my Army stuff works well, too.

for work- i have a nice set made by 'outdoor products'. while it wouldnt have been MY first choice, i had to go with it for the sake of uniformity. the pants are nice and high- almost like waders and they also have stirrups and a velcro strap to tighten around the ankle. the jkt is also pretty nice with a hood, 2 deep pockets (and an inner pocket) and a velcro zipper closure. the one thing i DONT like about it is how much water gets down my neck... but i think thats an issue with ALL suits.

ive worn it a couple times on my personal m/c.... its kinda funny seeing peoples reactions with me wearing a blue rain suit with reflective stripes, "highway patrol' and badge/nametag sewn on. [8D]

We went for the HD Overpass, 150.00 a set sometimes here it is very hot when it rains, in cold weather I will wear goretex underwear. Don't forget the Gators, great to keep your boots dry.

The overpass is great in all weather, seals nice and is comfortable. They also are heat resistant where it counts, will not melt on your pipes.

I wear Lawpro ANSI Class 3 reversible raingear from http://www.qmuniforms.com both on-duty and riding on my own. Once nice feature is you can switch from black to fluorescent yellow w/ silver reflective striping.
