I'm in the market for a 21/18 combo for my RGC. I am looking at Performance Machine and HogPro wheels. I know the PM stuff is quality, but it is also $$$$. I noticed there are some decent looking HogPro wheels they call "Saver Sets" that cost a lot less. I do remember when I was in the V-Rod community that some people were having issues with the rear bearings going bad prematurely. I don't want to deal with any of that crap with this bike.
I read some thread on a v rod forum about bearings and hog pro but the wheels were Weld Wheels bought thru hog pro and hog pro provided new bearings to the owner even though it wasn't a hog pro wheel and really not their responsibility and the bearings were like 2 years old. Is this the same thing you're talking about?

It may be, I don't know for sure, but I do know there were several people who were complaining about funny noises coming from the rear wheel, and they weren't real happy about it.
I believe these guys were running their "Le Mans" wheels.
I will say that I have dealt with Phil @ Hog Pro directly in the past and his customer service was some of the best I've experienced.
I got my wheels from hog pro. Second tire I changed the front tire I needed new bearings. Did not notice it myself, but my Indy said it did. Cheap insurance. Only issue I had with hog pro when I got mine was how they were shipped. Rear rim mounted with tire was in an box, minimally minimal packing inside, maybe just a cardboard ring for the hub to sit on. The front rim mounted with tire was in a plastic bag. Clear thin plastic bag. I could feel the blood running up the back off my neck...I was fuming, but there appeared to be no damage so I let it roll off my shoulder. I assume the rime was boxed and maybe got damaged so bad in shipping, Probably from the tire moving so much, that UPS need to do something....the plastic bag.
I would buy from them again. I used to get emails form them about deals they had. Like $1850 for two wheels rotors and pulley on select styles while supplies lasted. Pretty Dang cheap.

Adam
did they look like this? If so, this looks pretty stable.
I dealt with Phil and he is a great guy running a good business. I have had not isses with my wheels and very happy with them on all fronts. I would definately entertain talking to them. I rode in and got mine installed and rode away with a smile!
