i am trying to put my 06 street glide back together. i have all the tins and swing arm all i need is a frame and motor. i am looking on ebay now and see some frames from salvage companies in OH. does anyone know a better place to look or know someone who has a good frame with good numbers they want to sell?
also if i do buy one of the frames from online it is a 97 electra glide frame will my parts bolt on to it with little to no modifications? i know the 97 is set up for an evo but what does it take to put a twin cam in there?
I don't think that a 97 frame will work without major mods for engine mounting. For a frame, you might want to try Tofte Auto, located in Madison, MN [west of Mpls near the SD border]. I have bought a number of damaged bikes from them and they are good to work with. Their website [tofteauto.com] shows a couple of Street Glide and EG frames. 2006 or 2008 I think.
