Radio Question

I sold my Fatboy yesterday and im looking at an '02 Ultra. I saw that it has a tape player. Will the Head unit from the newer bikes work in an 02? Or is there another option to have a cd player?

From the Harley accessory site, it does not appear that a newer head unit will work in an '02 Ultra. The best option they had was an upgrade kit, but was about $1200.

Can't recall if that year had an input jack for an Aux/MP3 player. If not, install
one of those cassette tape adapters that allow you to use an MP3 player. 8GB memory and you can have 1000+ songs.
I have an '04 and could care less about the CD player.

It's got an AUX input. I just plug the old iPod in mine. Or you can put an aftermarket stereo in.

look on hd web, some of the newer models will fit but you are better going to a hawgwired install kit and a different head unit

My 02 has the auxillary input to plug an ipod in, works great and no cds to change. I don't know about fitment but your stock speakers are diffrent ohms than the newer bikes, so they to would need replaced.
