RE: '06 GLIDE vs. '07...real road test...Showdown!
Must be those majical t-rex's, LOL, Wow to think harley went to all that expence to make a bigger motor run slower than a littler motor, Id say since the only sert program for a 07 is a EPA approved one, and all to come will be too, that he could probly have done better if it was left stock, Im sure a properely tuned 96" will clean a 88"s plow any day when equiped the same, bask in your glory it will be short lived
RE: '06 GLIDE vs. '07...real road test...Showdown!
When my bike was stock, it would walk all over my buddies 06 stock road glide. Now that I did stage one my bike should be real close to at TC 88 with a 95" and mild cams. Everyone that has riden my 07 thinks it is much more powerfull then their 06 TC88. I have had none of the issues with the loud Tranny or the hot motor. Bike is like a dream compared to my 06 Road Glide I sold to get the 07. I have had both and the 96" er is a vast improvment of the TC88 IMHO.

Well put. How can you argue with this guy? Not only faster but that nice 6 speed to boot!

My new Motorcycle World has an article about the '07's where the author did some test riding of a few models during the summer dealer's meetings. His comments were very positive, including a nod to the additional power. Maybe the 96-inch motors have more power when they are completely stock but are easily beat with a free-breathing 88-incher. I'm also quite certain that, with the new SE mufflers being street legal in all 50 states, they probably won't add as much power as the after market units on a pre '07 model.
