Had a little showdown/testing on a quiet county road this afternoon with a buddy on an '07 EGStandard (1500 miles). He had the following installed, SE slip-ons, SE air kit & SERT. Did a few runs, tried some roll ons, even swapped bikes. Gotta say that my bike shifted better, always pulling ahead and feeling stronger than the '07. I would say he has to tweak his shift linkage (too much play), dump the stock headers/SE slip-ons and get a dyno tune. For the extra stroke, lighter pistons & better flowing heads of the 96", I really was expecting the opposite!

Yeah but you've got 84 ft/lb torque on a stock Stage 1 88! Still haven't figured that one out. You must have one hell of a dyno tuner.

Don't like it, don't read it! HD introduced the 96", what's wrong with bein' curious, checkin' things out and comparin'. If I did'nt have an '06, there would be an '07 Streetglide in my garage...in a heartbeat. Makes sense to me that an '07 with similar mods should be able to come out a step or two ahead of an '06, I was just surprised that it did'nt. Maybe it will be the other way around...next time!
