Has anyone installed this kit themselves? The dezcription says the dealer has to do it just wondering why? Also how much room does amp take up in tour pack?

The amp mounts on the outside/bottom of the tour pak, not inside.
The dealer needs to flash the amp to adjust the built-in equalizer using the Digital Technician.

EDIT: The flash is for the amp included in this new kit; the amp is a newer version of the under tour pak HD amp.

I just bought the Boom! Audio Ultra Boom! Bagger Kit, parts guy said it isn't to tough to install. True to a degree! routing the harness isn't to tough under the tank out the front and back to the tourpac. but 1) no instructions on routing 2) I have 2 connections with no idea (yet) where to connect. I have the bike-09 ultra in a semi tear down right now with no answers (it is sunday night) I will be on the blower first thing after they open the dealership to start after some answers, I suppose I will have to have them do a software upgrade after the fact to increase the base response but I hope in the end I wasn't sold a diy that isn't!
I will update with the results.
Yup, Went by the dealer yesterday and got the scoop. The 2 barrel connecters go into a harness replacing the 2 white blank plugs. y/v position 4 y/o position five. I don't have the name of the harness but will attempt a photo soonest. I still need to go back to the dealer and have them upgrade the software. Tech was very helpful. even without the upgrade to the software the sound is tremendous.
Stopped by teh dealer today had a listen to the 4 speaker version, was worried that the amp wouldnt fit with the Tour pack extension I have but does not look like a problem. Now I think i shuld wait til they come outwith the 6 speaker kit using the speakers on the lowers SG CVO models.
I had the earlier version and it's not that hard to install. Mine installed under the tourpack and all the hook ups spliced into the speakers. My complaint is that it went bad after a few years and I started blowing speakers. I didn't know what the problem was until I had a guy troubleshoot it for me. So I took it off the bike and am back to the stock configuration. And for me, stock is okay.
