I've got about 600 miles on my Corbin so far, and so far I love it. I'll be doing around 1,500 miles this weekend (Maryland to Toledo, OH and back to Maryland going all the way around Lake Erie through Ontario), so I'll have a better feel for how it does on long trips come Monday.

The longest I've sat on it was 5 hours or so the first day I had it. No hot spots, no burning, no numbness, no pain. Corbin ain't cheap, but so far it seems to work.

Corbin DualTour tops the Sundowner in all categories.

Can't speak on the Corbin. The Sundowner's a decent but very cheaply made seat. I am much happier now with the two-piece Mustang. If I had it to do over again I would do the exact same set-up. I love the comfort and versatility. Build quality is high. I got the two piece seat so I can strip it down to solo with backrest for solo riding,

or put on the passenger seat and backrest for two up.

Incredible comfort for me and the wife is thrilled with the comfort now. And when I ride solo, it feels good not having all that un-needed furniture hanging off the back! Mustang makes a very high quality and comfortable seat.

I've been sold on Corbins for about 12 years. Rode a brand new 98 RK to MB from NY on the stock seat 750 miles straight and my *** was killing me. Bought a Corbin at the Rally. Rode back home to NY on Sunday another 750 without even thinking about my tushy.

I do know there have been some changes about how they attache the leather to the foam, EPA adhesive problems or something.

For those of you that want a Corbin and price is an issue. Which I find hard to believe based on the amount of money spent on chrome and stereos around here...
Watch ebay closely. When Corbin went "direct" it left a lot of seats in the hands of warehouses and etailers. They are starting to show up on ebay at decent prices. If you can live with a red or blue or yellow or turquoise piping on the seat, you can get a great deal.

The only Mustang I have ever owned is an old solo for a shovelhead. Very comfy, but I thought the cover looked cheesy. The new mustangs like Dhart's have fantastic modern styling. I will say Mustang's have a cult following. Whenever anyone asks about Corbin versus stock, the Mustang guys chime in quickly. I'd like to try one.

OK, I am sold on Corbin feel, fit and looks. I have rode on just about every saddle out there, custom made and off the shelf. The Corbins wt about 40 pounds and have a solid platform, all the others are weak in this area. The closest IMO is Mustang but I had problems with them and would never buy another one, but thats my personal thing. I just bought a new Corbin for my 09 Ultra, Dual tourer, heated with riders backrest. I only have a few hundred miles on it so far, but I love it. If you can, check out Corbin down in Daytona or at one of the rallies. Let them adjust the back rest and check out your seating position/ handle bars. The guy I worked with in Daytona spent about an hour setting me up. Now I ride in confort, with no a$$ or back pain. Another thing to remember is your riding a bike NOT sitting in your lazy boy watching TV....... Forget the sundowner.... its just a Stock saddle for more money.... go to the dealership and just lift it off the shelf, them give it a twist and watch it bend.

Be Safe JIM
