Default Gloves

Brother in law went down over the weekend, gonna be ok thankfully, road rash was bad especially his palms which got me to thinking what do you guys wear for summer gloves? I have a med pair for cooler weather, and a pair for rain but what do you guys wear in the heat of the summer? Will the mesh hold up and be cooler or should i stick with leather?

I wear Deertour gloves during the summer. Full finger deerskin that are very flexible and comfortable. It's been in the upper 90's around here, with a heat index around 110, but I have found them pretty comfortable.

I've found anything Icon makes to be excellent quality.

I like the super-duty and pursuit gloves myself but have also used tarmacs.

I wear a set of HD leather ventilated gloves...The ones I was wearing when I went down earlier this summer, blew the palm out and my Hand came out without a Scratch. My arm got it a little (wasn't wearing my jacket). Made me a firm believer in always wearing my gloves, stopped with the 1/2 gloves a couple years ago and alway wear full fingers, even wearing a t-shirt.

I also just a got a set of then newer pair of the HD ventilated that are a neoprene fells like microfiber in the Palm, not 100% convinced on those, and got my older ones repaired since they don't make them anymore. I like having the real leather.

Also glad to hear your brother in law is going to be ok.

Medium leather gauntlet gloves by Olympia when it's over 50 degrees.
Insulated Harley gauntlet gloves when it's colder.
I've been down twice real hard and never hurt my hands.
Last accident I was wearing Buell gauntlet glove with knuckle armor and ground off 3 of the knuckle armor *****.
I use my hands for a living (mechanic) and don't mind really sweaty hands-in-gloves in the summer.
They dry eventually......

Ditto on the deer tours. Bought them from Fox Creek Leathers. They are going on their 3rd year and holding up well. Not bad in the summer.
