'00 RK - Install Fork Emulators? Need Your Thoughts?
Guys,
I'm installing chrome lowers on a '00 RK.
All the internals on the '00 RK are the same as a '09 RG.
With the exception of...the fork emulators found in '06 and up touring models.
My buddy would like to upgrade to the newer setup...getting away from his air charged forks.
All he needs from my '09 RG are the emulators.
Does anyone foresee any probs by doing this?
Has anyone done this?
If so, did you run across any problems?
If you're a suspension guru, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Good question, although I installed the Intiminators and it did wonders for my '98 air forks. (plus Progressive standard height springs). I wouldn't mind getting rid of the air requirement too.

Basically, all I'm doing is installing SG forks on his '00 RK.
Everything is the same, except there were no emulators back in '00.
I don't see how there could be a problem, but thought I'd ask.
Did you run the air in addition to the Intiminators on the '98?
I was going to remove the air fittings in the fork cap bolt and install set screws to close it off.
