Suprise! A week after I posted this complaint, I received a call from BUB offering to replace the end caps for free. The person on the phone could not have been nicer. Thanks BUB for finally doing the right thing.

How do you like the BUB 7 stealth mufflers? I'm thinking about putting BUB 7 Stealth True Duals on my 06 FLHTCUI and I'm looking for any input I can get. I live in a quiet neighborhood and get along with the neighbors and want to keep it that way.

Default I Wish BUB Would Call Me...

...to give me new end caps! I just called them yesterday, to ask about endcaps (I posted before that I have barely 1,000 miles on my bike) and I also called them about ordering 1.75" true duals headers to go with my BUB 7 slip-ons. I love the sound, and I know with TDs, my bike, 96" or 103", would sound absolutely bitchin'. Somehow it doesn't feel cool, me buying more stuff from BUB while I'm bitching about endcap quality. I know, stop bitching and just ride, but I'm not the only one bitching, BUB.

What about re-chroming, though? How much does it cost nowadays? The last time I had something plated was a 1911 .45 ACP (every part nickle) and it cost $75. That was years ago.

BUB 7 w/crossover here, and about the only thing good with my system is the mufflers! The crossover pipe had two broken welds, and the chrome on the heat shields are pathetic. A bitch to install and the heat shields cover about 90% of what they should. I'm getting new exhaust this winter and everything goes in the trash, EXCEPT the mufflers. Oh, when I called them about the heat shields, they were kind enough to offer to sell me new ones for full price........

All I can say is they must have had a bad run and I was one of the lucky ones. Had Vance and Hines before, and they were head and shoulders above BUB's, a very quality made pipe.

My BuB 7 mufflers did the same thing and I also was told to take a long walk off a short pier. If you want my old mufflers you can find them if you walk to the end of the Pompano Beach pier and look in the ocean.

I got a set of Jackpots from Jamie @ FuleMoto and I love them. The best thing is I'm confident if the same thing happens Jamie would take care of me no questions asked.

Thought all was fine with my Bub slip-ons until I pulled them off the old bike. I have them slash down and noticed at the bottom the chrome was starting to peel and blister on the end cap. Not happy but not surprised. I will either get the caps powder coated or let the next owner do that when I sell them.
