I'd like to replace the strap that links the tourpak lid to the lower section with a hinge. I saw one like this on the web EGlideGoodies.com but they seem to have be temporarily closed for a while now.
Does anyone else supply these that you knowledgeable folk know of?
I had the Eglidegoodies lid prop on my last bike. It worked really well. I now have the new reel type tether on my RGU. It also works very well. Of the 2, I think I like the tether better. It is also cheaper and easier to install.
Get the HD reel tether and say goodbye to the damn stock tether that seems to jump out every time you close the lid!!!!

Thanks guys - I agree the new tether looks the solution and I didn't know it was available. I suspect this is what I'll get now unless anyone else comes up with other solutions

While you're at it, you might want to do what I did.
Spend $50 on the chrome hinges and replace the ugly stock hinges. I just did it the other day. They look great. Here are some pics of the same hinges on my 07 that I just traded for the 11.
BTW, I've been riding and enjoying the 11 too much to take very many pictures.
