I had the se255 first; I changed to the woods tw6-6 on recommendations from some folks on this board; the 255 had noticeably more power below 3k....pulled stronger where I ride....the woods cam took off after about 3,500......but was flat down low.....I was much happier with the 255's......
when I got the woods I used the map that came with the power commander v from fuelmoto...it was ok...but could tell it wasn't just right; I'd get a single ping when I rolled on the throttle....I had the bike dyno tuned and it made the cam better, but still flat below 3k.....
The Woods 6 likes 10.2 to work really well. A swap to a .030 head gasket, mill the heads slightly to ensure both combustion chambers were at 85cc would have gotten you close to that, and would have produced a better overall outcome.
But then again, some guys just like the SE255. Different builds for different riders.
I'm used to driving without a windshield. I actually prefer to have more wind in my face. But, that is just me as most everyone else I know has tall windshields on their bikes.
