So I put a long Ride Shields Ultra on my Street Glide and I am getting a crazy amount of up draft wind. Enough it's blowing my shirt into my face. Will fairing wind deflectors help with this or does anyone know what else to try. It was so bad I stuck my old windshield back on.
I have the same shield on my SG the hog wings worked a little, I plan on adding the adjustable ones from HD. The updraft to me was not bad enough for me to go back to the stock shield.

Short answer, YES....Add the fork deflectors and the adjustable one that attach to the inner fairing and your be 100% free of the updraft...
How's the buffeting from the front with the LRS? I'm debating buying one.....
I Have the 7 inch Ultra I am 5'7"tall took care of the buffeting IMO I have no complaints with the Ultra shield. the adjustable air deflectors took care of the updraft for the most part
I'm 6' 4" and I bought the 9" shield. it sits right about nose level. It works really good for getting rid of the buffeting but drives me nuts dealing with my shirt. I guess I will just start buying wind deflectors and see what happens.
My wife has the adjustable fairing deflectors on both her bikes and fork deflector on one. The one with the fork deflectors has zero updraft, the one without is horrible. In my opinion the adjustable fairing deflectors are a hundred dollar waste of money. Fork mounted deflectors on the other hand may not look good to some but work wonders on keeping the air where it belongs. The one thats bad is an ultra also, I think the lowers add to the updraft. Their kind of useless in my opinion. I stay just as dry in the rain without them.
