You could check out the Desert Dawgs rain & wind deflectors. On most bikes, they will block out a high percentage of the updrafts. Easy on and off, made in the USA, they look classic - and they're $10 off most styles right now. http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/

Their only good when the weather gets below 50 or so.....They block air to the motor which you need for cooling purposes....
So I put a long Ride Shields Ultra on my Street Glide and I am getting a crazy amount of up draft wind. Enough it's blowing my shirt into my face. Will fairing wind deflectors help with this or does anyone know what else to try. It was so bad I stuck my old windshield back on.
I just put the LRS 6.5" screen on mine as well as the Hog Wings and I'm happy with the difference it made. The Hog Wings from LRS are dirt cheap too. I got both the screen and wings for about $100 shipped to my door. Not sure if the adjustable ones would make enough difference to pay the $108 HD wants for them.
Added the baffle between the forks a few weeks ago with minimal impact. I picked up a 10" clear windshield on ebay for @$30 (Seller: HD-Plastics; 4 days from purchase to install) to see if that helped with the buffeting... BINGO - Just what i was looking for I'm 5'10 and it sits about perfect. My glasses no longer shimmy and shake but there is still some updraft. The updraft increases a bit with my feet on the pegs, so I may try the fork deflectors next...
I'm 6'4" and most of my height is in my torso. I have an 11" LRS Ultra shield, fairing wings, and a fork baffle on my '11 Street Glide. Most of the buffeting is gone until about 65 mph and then it starts to come back. Like the OP, I get a strong updraft from up over the tank that blows the neck of my shirt up around my chin. That really gets annoying after a while. I tried the fork-mounted deflectors and they brought the buffeting back, so I took the off.
Based on the success of the vent in the '14 fairings and emails with Mark at Clearview, I ordered a Clearview shield with a vent installed. Mark is convinced that will solve my problem by reducing the vacuum behind the shield that is pulling the air up over the tank.
I installed an Ultra-Elite 7" recurve today (no Hawg Wings) and have no buffeting at all. None, zero, zip, nada. I was TOTALLY amazed. I wore a hat backwards while riding and didn't have to worry about it flying off so I don't have a bad updraft issue either. I can feel a little wind coming up but nothing bad or else my hat would have been gone. Before with the stock shield my glasses were bouncing all over the place and now I only get a little bit of wind on the top of my head which is perfect. I put my hand on top of my head and a few inches above is where the real strong wind is. I wonder what the difference is from one bike to the next? I'm also coming off a Super Glide where my detachable windshield had buffeting and wind coming from around the tank.

Fairing wind deflectors won't do anything for you.
The two things that will fix your problem:
- Fork leg wind deflectors
- The "ashtray" between the fork legs
This will eliminate enough updraft so you can ride with a stock 4" shield. At least that's what my experience was with my '10.
Had similar problem. Couldn't hardly ride over 60 mph without getting a headache. I am 6' 2" and have a 9" shield. Added the harley adjustable wind deflectors to the fairing and fork deflectors from JES Custom. Buffeting 100% gone on all three of my helmets (full face, half, and shorty).
If you cant do both for some reason I believe the fork deflectors made the biggest difference so I would start there. They are only about $85 and you can install them in 10 minutes.
