Default Anyone Using the Vance & Hines Feul Pak??

I know all of you road warriers go with SERTs or pc111's but I keep reading about the ease and lack of needing to spend an extra $600 bucks between a Sert and Dyno time for the V&H Feul Pak. Has anyone dared to try one yet?

I'm thinking of going this route as I am riding a cruiser 06 Ultra not a racer like my old 03 fatboy with 95" bored out High Compression everything. Just want to get the bike runnig right and maybe a little more pep.

I have stage 1 SE Air Cleaner and SE Pro one Slip On's with the HD Download currently. I am also considering Rhinehart True Duals later this year or maybe even teh Caliber 2 into 1 pipes.

I'm also running a PC III. However, my dad has a 06 ultra with the same stage 1, V&H ovals as me and he's running a fuel pak. I've had mine dyno'd twice and his still seems to never pop on decel. He's happy with it. I wouldn't hesitate to try it at all.

Vance and hines is no chump company, I talked to there tech and he told me they do extensive dyno testing on each model before coming up with a setting for their fuel paks, he said they go for best overall performance, fuel mileage and drivability, not just peak Horsepower and they did their best to eliminate decell popping too.. Im going with one when my 07 comes in.

I have a V&H Fuel Pak, SE exhaust and air filter on my 04 Road King. It made a great difference in power and it sounds great. I have minimal popping on decel. The bike can cruise at 75 now. The V&H website shows all the combinations of pipes, filters, etc that you can use with the Fuel Pak. No need for a dyno.

I have the Fuel Pak installed with Reinhart TD's and it's been great. The independent dealer that installed it says the Fuel Pak is all they ever use because of its ease of installation and reliabilty. They have their own set up that they perfected for use with these pipes and have sold over 100 of this same set up without problems. I even picked up 5mpg better fuel mileage than what I had with stock.

I had the fuel pak installed at the 1K service. The wrench set it to the settings in the paperwork and it ran good. I looked up the settings on V&H website and found they had been updated. I changed to new settings and it ran like a different bike. For $224.00 I thought it was a good deal compare to a one time flash for $150.00.

I'd opt for a DFO over a Fuel Pak. The DFO has been around longer. It is tried and true, for most. I'm sure there are some naysayers. The DFO is said to have better customer service. I know of more than one unhappy Fuel Pak owners that ditched it for a DFO or PCIII. If you happen to know a cop or serviceman, Dobeck will sell them a DFO for 99 bucks.

Are some before and after dyno results available for the Fuelpak? Also, wondering without a dyno where they set the air/fuel ratio? Looked at the unit on the website, seems simple enough.

RevTech makes a Digital Fuel Optimizer. My Harley dealer only puts on the V&H Fuel Pak.
