I'm not sure about Harley's, but on other big bikes, guys either love them or hate them.
The wear well and handle well, but many Goldwing and other big bike owners have problems with their quality control. Lot's of low speed wobble reports for front tires, and/or high speed wobbles at high speed for rears. The Valkyrie forums are full of these, which is what I have experience with them.
I run the Metzler 880s on my EGC and very much like their handling and wear, and you can get white walls.
Not real fond of WW. I have Avon Venoms on my FLT and they are A#1 as far as I am concerned. I thought after this weekend in the NC mountains the Dunlops have to go. I was not aware of the new Cobras thats why I asked if anybody had then. Metz are OK tires, but I do not want this thread to turn into a She said She said about the tires you like. If you can not help with the Avon Cobra questions please just go to the next thread. Thanks in advance.
My supervisor had/has cobras on his 98 Ultra. He is not an aggressive rider at all, and he got about 10k out of em before the cords were showing. He isn't very attentive to maintenance either tho, so incorrect air pressures may have played a role in that.
CSI,
Thanks for the input. Most of my riding is also straight down the lane. I do like the feel of the Venoms on my FLT. I thought on the way home today that I would put Venoms on the Ultra but then I saw the Cobras and new and improved is better, right? Also a bit more $$

Crap........you can disregard my post.
He has VENOMS on is bike..........they are the ones that went bald in under 10k.....not the Cobras.
I apologize for not reading your 1st post close enuff
Merlin, have you looked at Avons website to see if they recommend Cobras for your bike? I am a fan of Avon and have used Venoms for years, but there are no Cobras to suit my Glide, as they are mostly aimed at the custom market, not dressers!
