Navigation Interface Mod... Is it worth it?
I just got me a new Zumo 660 and I am ordering all the parts to do the CVO Dash pad mount. I am wondering if any of you have done the interface mod yet. Any pros and cons to this mod? Let me know your experience.

i was considering this but have the handlebar mount and just noticed it needs the fairing mount which i dont want to do. gps's change too frequently. the fron cable into aux really isnt that big a deal for me i guess and it doesnt look like it is that much different.

I read the same thing. Better check it out before spending the money on the Harley harness. I guess because you've got the 660 you're going with the XM as well. Plugging into the AUX plug on the radio face will give you XM and turn by turn directions into the speakers and headset. Unfortunately it limits hearing directions while in the AUX mode only; but for many thats not a big deal.

As the research continued I found this out yesterday also. Its one of those it's the Same but not the Same issues. Garmin did a small tweak to the HD version of the 660 and thus the interface is just for HD. Sux but as I love to use my Ipod while riding I figured that I would just start using the GPS as my player instead.
