Default What Battery is Best????
My battery went bad in my 03 RKC. Im pretty sure it is the original. What is the best replacement? Thanks Dan

Deka makes the batteries for HD and are a lot cheaper. I have a place near me that sells the Deka ETX30L(the model for my bike) for $108. Last I checked HD wants about $165 for the same battery with HD on it.

Seems to me you got your answer right there - 7-8 years on the OEM . . . .

Deka is the OEM battery. Google them and see if there is a place near you that sells them, otherwise you can order online and have it shipped to you.

Some things are simply not worth the hassle. I've only had one HD battery replaced, and I went to the dealer. Took the old one in, got the correct replacement, and was done with it.
