Issues with 09 Ultra Classic
Have 40k on my 09 Ultra
I ride her often and long.
The switch that activates the brake light/disengage cruise control for the back brake went out.
The cruise control just went out today
The bike has a rattle in the upper front of the engine as I accelerate.
Anyone else having issues?
It is funny.. I am 45 days from having my warranty expire....and now things are popping up. Makes me think I need to make some money magically appear and get the extended.

Well good thing you still have the warranty. I paid and never used the extended warrranty. They will not remind you to renew..They leave it up to you cause they really do not want you to extend because the risk on their end is higher. Good luck with getting all resolved.

Yep...I had same problem two weeks ago. Brake lights/cruise control stopped working and engine light came on also. Took it to the dealer and brake light switch was the cause. Replaced under warranty and back on the road.

So... Cruise control came back on... and the brake switch for the back worked.
Then.. later in the day.. they both went out again.
WTF

My rear brake light switch shorted (internally) on my way to Colorado last week. It smoked the harness and melted the connector plug. The dealer in Ft. Worth replaced the switch and plug. He indicated that they have replaced quite a few recently.
They failed to properly bleed the brake system, so I had it worked on again in Durango.
09 Ultra at 8,200mi.

Sounds like an intermittent problem with your rear brake switch. If that is all that breaks on my bike after riding 40K, I'd be okay with that.
