I was at the beach with my family and heard some commotion. I heard someone over my shoulder say, "Hey man, look that little kid is in trouble" and then just pause. Turned around and there was a little girl being pulled out to sea by the rip tide near a bunch of jagged rocks. The dude is just staring at her like it's on TV or something. I couldn't believe it. So I took off barefooted across the 50 or so yards of shelled beach with no shoes on, jumped in and got her no problem (I'm a fish in water).
It was no real big deal, she was not drowning or anything she just didn't have the strength to swim back in.
No one on the crowded beach did a thing. No one on the beach even moved. People suck.
Anyway her Mom thanked me and offered me money.... No I didn't take it...
In Woodinville? Man have things changed! Thanks for stepping up.

No not in Woodinville - things haven't changed that much! Nearer Lynnwood.
Appreciate all the comments - again I don't think I did anything particularly extraordinary or anything anyone else here wouldn't have done. It just pisses me off that no one else was doing anything. Oh well.
That is so cool to hear a good person happens to be in the right spot at the right time. Kudos to you. You don't have to be a hero for doing the right thing, my hat is off to you for being Human and doing what's right. I bet somebody, and very likely their family, is grateful for your actions.
