I went the HF route and made a great trailer. I went full boat with two spares, tongue jack, 6 10K lb tie downs, under bed ramp storage 3/4 thick bed and more. Sold it to someone on the forum here for $300. Had almost six in it.
Went to this to haul three bikes, heat and A/C. bunk and storage.
Now, who wants to buy it at half price? $5K takes it.
I have a ALUMA and it's falling apart!! Lost a fender and the other is about to fall off. Rock guard will have to be removed too. Poorly made!! I have about 5K towing miles on it. Welding spots are cracking even after I secured fenders with reinforced screws into the frame... not happy!!
If storage is not an issue, go with the enclosed...
If it is, then look at the Kendon Fold ups. I have a single rail against the wall in my garage. Works great if I want to take a vacation with the wife and dog, bring the bike along, she can do her thing with the truck and i can ride. Also works well to drop off and pick it up from the shop when it is hard to find a ride.
I love my Baxley Trailer. It is pricey but top notch in every way. Tows like a dream. I have hauled both the Ultra and my Goldwing on it. It is a very clever design and easy to use. Excellent customer's service.
I have a 7 x 12 Beartrax Aluminum flatbed, tows great with 2 bikes on it. It will be getting a cover in the spring. These covers come off in about 5 minutes and you're back to an open flatbed when needed.
A guy down the street has one that's 4 years old. The fabric still looks great, no noticable UV breakdown and the stitching shows no signs of damage. They will build them to fit any size trailer.
