Default Thinking out loud

Next to riding a new bike the most fun is modifying a new bike.

Here in middle Georgia the best riding season is almost here. Im working on collecting parts for a few winter projects before the boss cuts my funding. I have a 5k limit so Im working hard to get the most bang for the buck.

+2 sweeperes are on sale for $67, but I really would like them in 1.25, at about $215 the cost is 3x the 1 inch bars.

Any lower cost alternatives to the chubbys?

I like the look of a 21in front wheel, but Im torn between the look and function - cast or fat spokes. I ride alot of miles, cast will hold up better than spokes, but a 17 or 18 will hold up alot better than 21.

Im just going to have to figure that out, Ive got 2-3k left on the tires, so I dont have alot of time.

Ive been riding since 74, this is my first HD. Im amazed at how well it handles, the balance, and power. Should have made the change a long time ago.

The misses and I are having a great time.

I see alot more 18" on the open road than the 21's. Just an observation.
