Billet Lifter Covers

Has anyone put the billet lifter covers on? Link Here

I looked at them today at the stealer, and totally intended on buying them before I got there today. I saw the gaskets and solid billet and got a little nervous. It looks like a project, is it?

If you don't have adjustable pushrods, you either have to cut your stock ones and put in adjustables or pull your gas tank and rocker box covers to get out the solid rods. IMO, the work ain't worth the bling. Just wait to put on the lifter covers if and when you decide to swap cams or do a big bore kit.

It is a good sized job. Tank has to come off. Make sure you have a manual and torque wrench and get the sequence and torque right. Otherwise you will get leaks and have to do the job twice.

Nuff said, I don't think I will have a problem finding somewhere else to spend the cash for now. I love the look, but will wait til this winter when the big bore etc comes along.
