Default Help with Ignition Switch

When I turn my ignition switch to off the speedo and tach are still on as well as the passing lights wont turn off.

Help guys I cant seem to figure this one out.

I think its the ignition, the housing smells like ***.

Try cleaning the contacts first. Might be the contacts got real hot and started melting and you might be due for an ignition switch replacement.

Hi, I don`t know what bike you have. But i have an o7 electraglide, same crap happend with mine , i change the switch and bingo all better. the switch cost $57.00 not bad. took about 2.5 hours to change. do a search here, you will get the help you need to change it. Bill

pull your max fuse until you get it fixed to save your battery

Yeah, I did that LA...the ignition switch housing is now off the bike, picking up a new one today. Hope this solves my problems.
