Any opinions on swapping the stock exhaust on my 2010 Street Glide with a Vance & Hines Pro Pipe (Chrome) with a Fuelpak? Will doing this effect my warrenty?
I chose the Vance and Hines Pro-Pipe and couldn't be happier with it. It's a great looking pipe and it has a sound like no other (that I've heard). Anyone who's ridden behind me says they're a great sounding pipe too. You can ride these pipes loud or quiet. When you ride 'em hard they sound absolutely WICKED.
I also had Stage 1 upgrade, so between the new pipe and opening up the air intake so it can breathe, I gained 20% H.P. compared to the stock pipe (2-1 with the dreaded catalytic converter) according to the dyno. Also remember, all this requires a race tuner (about $450) and 3-4 hours on the dyno at probably $60-$70/hour. I think it was about $1,400 for my mod.
Pro pipes look nice and sound sweet.
As far as the fuel pac goes you'd probably want to give Jamie at FuelMoto a shout. He's got better options on tuners.
